During each renewal
period, one (1) contact hour is required for each calendar month of
the licensure cycle, including a one (1) hour course on HIV/AIDS and
a two (2) hour course on Prevention of Medical Errors. In addition,
licensees must complete a one (1) hour course on Domestic Violence.
The HIV/AIDS, Domestic Violence, and Prevention of Medical Errors courses
must be from a Florida-approved continuing education provider. End-of-life
care or palliative care can be substituted for HIV/AIDS or for Domestic
Violence every other biennium
